I have been told Wales cannot be independent because we are a poor nation. But I believe we are a poor nation because we are not independent. We are part of a bigger system that is not interested in us, does not want what is best for us – and Welsh people have suffered as a result. With independence, I believe Wales can be a different kind of nation – one that uses its resources to make sure everyone is cared for, no matter what their background or how much they earn; one that is outward-facing, welcoming and modern. We can define the future of our country, and I believe that future is better if we separate from Westminster and decide what it looks like ourselves. Yes is more, for everyone!
